SYLLABUS GUIDELINE – JUNIOR DIPLOMA IN FINE ARTS
NOTE: We don’t strictly follow it. This is our guideline. It completely depends on the student if he/she would like to go by the syllabus guideline or would like to choose and move forward. Mentor’s guidance will be helpful. But finally it is student’s decision and choice.
GRAMMAR & TECHNIQUES:
Use of Medium: It is to be noted that Anthelion School of Art being an open school for all ages and levels of expertise, students are free to start with any medium. But we would advice to follow the following order of mediums for the detailed syllabus mentioned below. Mentor’s guidance in this matter is the best choice.
- Black & White – Pencil, Charcoal, White Pastel (Conte)
- Colour Study – Dry Medium – Oil Pastel, Soft Pastel, Pen & Ink, Pencil Applications
- Colour Study – Wet Medium – Water Colour – General, Tempera, Wash, Gouache, Mixed Media
- Colour Study – Wet Medium – Oil, Acrylic

- Square – Cushions, Kites, Boxes etc.
- Rectangle – Envelopes, Cards, Trunks etc.
- Triangle – Stars, Christmas Triangle etc.
- Cone – Ice-cream Cones & Birthday Caps etc.
- Complex Shapes – Flower Vas, Human Body Parts etc.

- Understanding & Application of Mediums & Colors – Pencil, Color Pencil, Oil Pastel, Water Color etc.
Making simple to complex Compositions of (Also Nurturing & Practicing) –

Eventually on completion of 3 years in this program and giving the exam for “Junior Diploma in Fine Arts“, students can smoothly get into senior Adult Program following the Senior Syllabus.
Materials that might be needed at different times –
Painting & Drawing – Drawing Copies, Sheets, Canvas Boards, Pencil Set, Eraser, Sharpener, Color Pencil Set, Glass Marking Pencil Set, Charcoal Pencil Set, Drawing Pens, Oil Pastels, Crayons, Calligraphy Pens, Water Colors, Acrylic Colours, Fabric Colours, Brushes, palettes etc
Now for Classroom Program for kids – Check Classroom Courses (for all ages) – The class format, pricing and timings are all same for juniors and seniors and they sit together but follow respective syllabus.
