Mirror Engraving Workshop

The first of its kind Mirror Engraving Workshop, to be conducted by Ms Elena Morizio from Rome, Italy and organized by Anthelion School of Art, Kolkata during August 19 – 23 (1st batch) and August 26 – 30 (2nd Batch).
This unique art form allows the artist to face his or her own reflection during the entire time of creation – which invariably creates a unique psychological impact on the artist – creating a sudden self-awareness, opening one’s eyes to how the reality within and around one really works.
This basic mirror engraving workshop not only introduces you to a new “avant-garde” artistic form, (yet undiscovered, unrevealed in the world) but also gives you an opportunity to take a journey within yourself.
Its pioneer, the Italian philosopher, art director, internationally renowned symbologist and artist Loranzo Ostuni called it the art of the future: the engraving on mirror will spread exponentially around the globe in the coming decades and you will be one of the first students to know its secrets.
The workshop will be conducted in 2 groups – each group will have 12 participants each. It will be a 5 day workshop with 6 hours per day for each of the 5 days.
- Group 1: August 19 – 23, 2024 – 11.30 am to 6.00 pm (with 30 min break in between).
- Group 2: August 26 -30, 202 – 11.30 am to 6.00 pm (with 30 min break in between).
The workshop will be conducted at Anthelion School of Art premises in Kolkata only.
We will provide with the Materials.
Cost of the 5 day workshop: ₹ 7,500/- + GST (18%) = ₹8,850/- per person for the 5 day session with all materials.
